Taewoo Kim is a Postdoctoral Researcher at INSAIT, working at the intersection of computational imaging, generative AI, video generation/editing, and agentic AI.

He earned his Ph.D. from KAIST under the supervision of Prof. Kuk-Jin Yoon, focusing on event-based video enhancement. His research has been published in premier venues including CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, and NeurIPS. Notably, his work received a CVPR 2023 Highlight Paper and an ECCV 2022 Oral Presentation. His contributions span event-based vision, video frame interpolation, low-light enhancement, motion deblurring, and the development of benchmark datasets for event-based video enhancement. At INSAIT, he aims to extend these foundations toward scalable multi-modal generative AI and agentic AI systems.

In addition to his academic work, he has industry experience at Qualcomm’s Camera Algorithm Team, where he developed machine learning-based camera algorithms for mobile systems.
